Persimmon Bars

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. persimmon pulp
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. nuts

Instructions

  1. Cream sugar and margarine.
  2. Add egg and pulp.
  3. Next add flour, spice and remaining ingredients.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Bake in 9 x 13-inch greased pan for 30 to 35 minutes at 350°.
  6. Cool.
  7. Pour glaze over cooled bars.
