Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 (9 oz) can baked beans

Instructions

  1. Fry the bacon until it's crisp, then remove and set aside, saving about half the drippings in the pan.
  2. Brown the ground beef in the bacon drippings until cooked through.
  3. Meanwhile, boil the diced celery and finely chopped onion in just enough water to cover until they are almost tender.
  4. Add the cooked celery, onions, and the boiling water to the browned beef in the pan.
  5. Stir in the ketchup, baked beans, and A-1 sauce.
  6. Simmer on low heat for a short time.
  7. Serve with salad and rolls.
