Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 1 small green pepper, chopped
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large can tomatoes
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 small bottle green olives, halved

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet.
  2. Add the chopped onions, chopped green pepper, minced garlic, tomato paste, canned tomatoes, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cover and simmer for at least 1 hour, adding water if necessary.
  4. Serve over rice.
  5. Optionally, serve with fried plantains or green bananas as an accompaniment.
