Ingredients

  • 2/3 c. shortening
  • 2 Tbsp. butter, softened
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. cold water

Instructions

  1. Cut shortening and butter into flour and salt mixture.
  2. Slowly add water while mixing with a fork, adjusting the amount based on weather.
  3. Form the mixture into a ball.
  4. Cut the ball in half to create 2 crusts.
  5. Roll out each half, using only a little flour.
  6. For baked pie shells, prick with a fork and bake for 8 minutes at 475°.
