Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • dash of salt
  • 1 large can crushed pineapple
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 2 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Mix the first seven ingredients together: flour, sugar, eggs, soda, salt, crushed pineapple, and chopped nuts.
  2. Pour the batter into a greased 13 x 9-inch pan and bake at 350°F for 40 to 45 minutes.
  3. With an electric mixer, beat the cream cheese, oleo, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on the cooled cake.
