Ingredients

  • 3 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 (8 oz.) can pineapple tidbits
  • salt
  • 1/4 cup golden raisins
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 head shredded cabbage or 1 lb cole slaw mix
  • 1 bunch chopped green onions
  • 1 stalk chopped celery
  • 2 cups slivered or sliced almonds
  • 2 Tbsp. sesame seeds
  • 4 Tbsp. sunflower seeds
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 cup salad oil

Instructions

  1. Combine shredded cabbage, pineapple tidbits, chopped green onions, chopped celery, golden raisins, and toasted almonds in a large bowl.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, salad oil, sugar, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, and salt to make the dressing.
  3. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss well to combine.
  4. At the last minute, add crushed raw ramen noodles to the slaw and toss again.
  5. Optional: Add cooked chicken to make it a main dish.
