Ingredients

  • 1 envelope dry yeast
  • 1 cup very warm water
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • approximately 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • Parmesan cheese
  • olive oil
  • oregano
  • garlic salt
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • your favorite toppings

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix sugar, yeast, and very warm water.
  2. Let the yeast bubble to ensure it is active.
  3. Add flour gradually, stirring between each addition, and add salt between the second and third cups of flour.
  4. Knead the dough until it is soft but not wet.
  5. Roll out the dough to your desired thickness and place on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  6. Spread tomato sauce evenly over the dough.
  7. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese and oregano over the sauce.
  8. Add garlic salt to taste.
  9. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and your favorite toppings.
  10. Drizzle with olive oil if desired.
  11. Bake in a preheated oven at 475°F (245°C) for about 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
