Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. melted shortening
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 1/4 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl until a smooth batter forms.
  2. Heat a deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  3. Fry the donuts in the hot oil until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels before serving.
