Sweet and crunchy popcorn macaroons combine toasted popcorn with walnuts, egg whites, and sugar for a delightful treat perfect for snacking or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted popcorn
  • 1 cup finely chopped walnuts
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Chop popcorn finely and mix with chopped walnuts.
  2. Beat egg whites in a bowl until foamy.
  3. Gradually add powdered sugar and continue beating until soft peaks form.
  4. Add vanilla extract and beat well.
  5. Fold the popcorn and nut mixture into the egg whites.
  6. Drop by half teaspoons onto a lightly oiled cookie sheet.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 300°F (150°C) for 30 to 35 minutes.
  8. Transfer cookies to a cooling rack immediately.
