- Drain the crushed pineapple.
- Heat the pineapple syrup to a boil.
- Add the boiling syrup to the lime jello and stir until the jello is dissolved.
- Allow the mixture to cool until it begins to thicken.
- Add the drained pineapple, grated American cheese, chopped pimento, finely chopped celery, chopped walnuts, and salt to the thickened jello mixture.
- Fold in whipped cream or Dream Whip until well combined.
- Pour into a mold shaped like a wreath and refrigerate until set.
- Garnish with small stuffed olives before serving.
