Ingredients

  • 8 slices bacon
  • 4 medium onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 can pork and beans
  • 1 can butter beans
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 can lima beans

Instructions

  1. Fry the bacon until crisp, then drain and crumble it.
  2. Leave the bacon grease in the pan and add the chopped onions, brown sugar, vinegar, garlic powder, dry mustard, and salt. Cook until the onions are tender.
  3. Drain the canned beans.
  4. Add the drained beans and crumbled bacon to the sauce mixture. Mix well.
  5. Cook slowly on the stove for 20 minutes, then transfer to an oven and bake, covered, for 30 to 45 minutes at 375°F.
