Ingredients

  • 10 medium potatoes
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 lb. Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil potatoes until tender, then mash them.
  2. Brown ground beef with chopped onions and green peppers.
  3. Add salt and pepper to the meat mixture.
  4. Layer in a 13 x 9-inch pan starting with the mashed potatoes.
  5. Add a layer of cooked meat mixture.
  6. Top with shredded cheddar cheese as the last layer.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted.
