Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce, torn in pieces
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 package frozen peas, not thawed
  • diced celery
  • sliced hard-boiled eggs
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 ounces grated Cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices crumbled bacon

Instructions

  1. Place the ingredients in layers in a flat glass pan in the order given: lettuce, onion, green pepper, peas, celery, eggs, cheese, bacon.
  2. Do not toss or mix the layers.
  3. Cover and refrigerate overnight before serving.
