Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. warm water
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 425°F.
  2. Mix yeast, warm water, sugar, and salt to activate the yeast.
  3. Add flour gradually and knead until the dough is smooth.
  4. Shape small portions of dough into animal shapes.
  5. Place the shaped dough on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
  6. Brush the shaped dough with beaten egg.
  7. Sprinkle lightly with salt.
  8. Bake at 425°F for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
