Ingredients

  • 1 c. tomato juice
  • 3/4 c. Quaker oats (quick)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine tomato juice, oats, egg, chopped onion, salt, and pepper in a bowl; mix well.
  3. Add ground beef; mix lightly but thoroughly.
  4. Press mixture into an 8 x 4-inch loaf pan.
  5. Bake for 1 hour.
  6. Drain and let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
