Ingredients

  • 1 cup pitted prunes
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs

Instructions

  1. Chop the pitted prunes.
  2. In a bowl, add the chopped prunes to the chopped walnuts, brown sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt, and mix well.
  3. Fold the mixture into the well-beaten eggs until combined.
  4. Spread the batter evenly in a greased 9-inch square pan.
  5. Bake at 325°F for 25 to 30 minutes until golden.
  6. Cool in the pan for 5 to 10 minutes.
  7. Cut into 25 pieces.
