Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups cooked pumpkin
  • 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
  • 3 slightly beaten eggs
  • 6 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/2 cup dark molasses

Instructions

  1. Mix the filling ingredients in the top of a double boiler and cook over hot water until thick.
  2. Cool slightly, then add 1 teaspoon of vanilla.
  3. Pour the mixture into a pie shell and let cool.
