Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 packages dry yeast
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter or margarine
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup cooked pumpkin, warmed and smooth
  • 1/2 cup powdered milk (dry)
  • 1 egg
  • 4 to 5 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Mix warm water, sugar, dry yeast, melted butter or margarine, and salt until well combined.
  2. Add cooked pumpkin, powdered milk, and egg to the mixture and beat well.
  3. Stir in 4 to 5 cups of unsifted flour, knead well, and let rise until doubled in size.
  4. Roll the dough to 3/4-inch thickness.
  5. Cut into rolls using a biscuit cutter or desired shape.
  6. Let the rolls rise until doubled in size.
  7. Bake at 375°F for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
