Ingredients

  • 1 white angel food cake or store-bought cake
  • 1 quart fresh or frozen strawberries, chopped
  • 1 package strawberry gel
  • 1 large Cool Whip
  • 1 large vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Crumble half of the cake into a punch bowl or an attractive deep dish.
  2. Mix the strawberry gel with chopped strawberries and pour over the crumbled cake.
  3. Add the remaining cake pieces on top.
  4. Spread the vanilla pudding over the cake layer.
  5. Add the drained crushed pineapple.
  6. Sprinkle chopped pecans over the mixture.
  7. Spread Cool Whip over the top.
  8. Decorate with reserved strawberries.
  9. Serve with a large spoon.
