Ingredients

  • 1 lb ricotta cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups grated mozzarella
  • 1 egg
  • 1 package frozen chopped spinach
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 32 oz spaghetti sauce
  • 8 to 10 oz lasagne noodles
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix ricotta cheese, 1 cup mozzarella, egg, chopped spinach, salt, and oregano.
  2. In a greased 9 x 13-inch pan, spread 1/2 cup of spaghetti sauce.
  3. Layer one-third of the uncooked lasagne noodles over the sauce.
  4. Add half of the spinach and cheese mixture over the noodles.
  5. Repeat with another layer of sauce, noodles, and spinach mixture.
  6. Finish with the last third of noodles and the remaining sauce on top.
  7. Sprinkle 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese over the top.
  8. Pour water around the edges of the pan.
  9. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  10. Let stand for 15 minutes before serving.
