Ingredients

  • 5 c. warm water
  • 7 c. flour
  • 2/3 c. oil
  • 2 Tbsp. yeast
  • 2/3 c. honey
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. sugar

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast and sugar in 1/2 cup warm water.
  2. Combine 5 cups warm water with honey and oil to cool slightly.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and honey-oil mixture to the flour and salt; mix and knead well.
  4. Let the dough rise until doubled in size.
  5. Knead down the dough and form into loaves.
  6. Let the loaves rise in pans, then bake at 325°F (163°C) for 30 minutes.
