Quick Baked Apple

A quick and comforting baked apple filled with nuts, raisins, and coconut, infused with cinnamon and drizzled with maple syrup, perfect for a warm, wholesome treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. finely chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp. coconut
  • dash ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tsp. maple syrup
  • 1 tsp. raisins
  • 1 medium tart apple
  • 2 tbsp. apple juice

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine nuts, raisins, and coconut; set aside.
  2. Core the apple and peel the top third.
  3. Place the apple in a microwave-safe dish.
  4. Fill the center of the apple with the nut mixture and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  5. Pour apple juice into the dish and pour maple syrup over the apple.
  6. Cover and microwave on high for 2-3 minutes or until the apple is tender, basting and rotating each minute.
  7. Serve warm.
