Sweet and tender baked apples infused with cinnamon and brown sugar, perfect for a quick dessert or snack that appeals to all ages and tastes.

Ingredients

  • 4 large unpared cooking apples
  • 2 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. margarine
  • dash of ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Cut the apples vertically into halves and remove the cores.
  2. Place the apple halves, cut side up, in an 8 x 8 x 2-inch dish.
  3. Mix the brown sugar and flour together.
  4. Spoon the sugar-flour mixture into the center of each apple half.
  5. Place 1/2 teaspoon of margarine on top of the sugar mixture on each half.
  6. Sprinkle ground cinnamon over the apples.
  7. Cover the dish with waxed paper and microwave on High until the apples are tender, about 3 to 4 minutes.
