Ingredients

  • 1 small pkg. rotini macaroni (spirals)
  • 1 small pkg. mostaccioli macaroni (tubes)
  • 1 small pkg. wheels macaroni
  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • sliced mushrooms (fresh or canned)
  • pepperoni slices (optional)
  • 1 large jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 pkg. mozzarella cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the pasta together according to package instructions, then rinse in cold water and drain.
  3. In a large saucepan, brown the ground beef, then drain excess fat.
  4. Add spaghetti sauce, chopped onions, chopped green pepper, sliced mushrooms, and pepperoni slices to the beef.
  5. Simmer the mixture for 10 to 15 minutes.
  6. Pour the cooked pasta into a baking dish.
  7. Pour the sauce mixture over the pasta.
  8. Mix only slightly; do not stir thoroughly.
  9. Cover the top with grated mozzarella cheese.
  10. Bake at 350°F (175°C) until hot and bubbly, about 15 minutes.
  11. Let set for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
