Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • nuts

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar, baking powder, salt, milk, and egg in a bowl.
  2. Pour the batter into a greased 9 x 7-inch pan.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine 1/2 cup brown sugar, cinnamon, and nuts.
  4. Sprinkle the cinnamon mixture over the batter.
  5. Melt butter and pour over the top of the assembled cake.
  6. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 25 to 30 minutes until golden and cooked through.
