Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. bacon, diced
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 4 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 4 cups cooked, drained small white beans

Instructions

  1. Saute the bacon and onion in a skillet until the onion is almost tender.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Stir in honey, dry mustard, salt, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Layer half of the cooked, drained small white beans in a 2-quart covered baking dish.
  5. Spoon half of the honey mixture over the beans.
  6. Repeat the layers with remaining beans and honey mixture.
  7. Cover the dish and bake at 325°F (163°C) for 1 hour or until the honey mixture is absorbed.
