Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. onion salt
  • 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 6 cubed beef steaks (1 1/2 lb.)
  • 4 tsp. oil
  • 14 oz. can stewed tomatoes
  • 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. dry savory
  • 1 medium green pepper, cut into strips

Instructions

  1. Dip the steaks in flour and brown in oil; drain.
  2. Add undrained stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and savory to the skillet.
  3. Cover and simmer for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add green pepper strips and cook for an additional 5 to 7 minutes.
  5. Serve hot with potatoes or noodles.
