Tips & Substitutions

For a richer flavor, consider using smoked bacon instead of regular bacon. If whitefish is unavailable, cod or tilapia can be suitable substitutes. To enhance the paprika sauce, add a touch of garlic powder or a squeeze of lemon juice. Ensure the potatoes are evenly sliced for consistent cooking, and feel free to adjust the seasoning according to your taste preferences.

Serving Suggestions

Serve Raczhal hot, garnished with fresh parsley for a pop of color. This dish pairs beautifully with a light salad or steamed vegetables, such as green beans or a Cauliflower-Raisin Salad for added crunch. A glass of crisp white wine complements the flavors well, making for a delightful meal.

Storage & Reheating

Leftover Raczhal can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place in an oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 15-20 minutes until warmed through. Avoid microwaving to maintain the texture of the fish and potatoes.
