Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground pork
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. ground sage
  • Dash pepper
  • Dash ground nutmeg
  • Pastry for 2 crust 9 inch pie

Instructions

  1. Brown ground pork in a skillet; drain off excess fat.
  2. Stir in water, chopped onion, bread crumbs, salt, sage, pepper, and nutmeg.
  3. Simmer, covered, until onion is tender, about 20 minutes, stirring often.
  4. Line a 9-inch pie plate with pastry; fill with meat mixture.
  5. Adjust the top crust, seal, and flute edges.
  6. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
