Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 lemon
  • butter
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 cup chopped raisins
  • 1 cup mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Beat the egg well.
  2. Add sugar and the juice of the lemon.
  3. Cook on top of a double boiler until it begins to thicken, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Add butter the size of a small egg.
  6. Let cool.
  7. Add chopped nuts, raisins, and mayonnaise.
  8. Use as a spread with crackers or make small party sandwiches.
