Ingredients

  • 1 c. water
  • 1 1/2 c. raisins
  • 3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. margarine, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. sugar

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, boil water; add raisins.
  2. Boil until water is gone, then cool.
  3. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Beat together sugar and margarine until well mixed.
  5. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
  6. Add dry ingredients to the mixture and beat until blended.
  7. Stir in the cooked raisins.
