Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons soda
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups diced apples (unpeeled)
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Cream eggs, sugar, oil, and vanilla together.
  2. Mix in the flour, soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
  3. Add the diced apples and chopped walnuts to the mixture, which will be very stiff.
  4. Spread the mixture in a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
  5. Bake at 325°F (163°C) for 50 minutes.
  6. Allow to cool and then frost with your preferred frosting.
