Real Easy Pineapple Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 can 20 oz. crushed pineapple (undrained) in its own juice - not syrup
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1 FROSTING
  • 1/2 cup butter or one stick
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cup confectioners sugar

Instructions

  1. preheat oven to 350F
  2. Mix all of the cake ingredients together in a bowl.
  3. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes (until top is golden brown)
  4. FROSTING: Beat butter, cream cheese and vanilla together until creamy.
  5. Gradually mix in powdered sugar
  6. Frost cake with cream cheese frosting while still warm.
  7. Sprinkle with nuts.
