Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 stick oleo or butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups quick oats
  • 3 teaspoons cocoa

Instructions

  1. Pour milk, oleo, and sugar into a saucepan.
  2. Heat until hot but not boiling.
  3. Stir in coconut and vanilla.
  4. Mix in with a fork, oats, and cocoa.
  5. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a cookie sheet.
  6. Put into refrigerator until firm.
