Ingredients

  • 6 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1½ cups sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 6 large eggs
  • ½ pound sesame seed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sift the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt into a bowl; cut in the shortening until well blended.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing after each addition to form a soft dough.
  4. Stir in the sesame seeds until evenly distributed.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Allow cookies to cool on a wire rack before serving.
