A hearty, cheesy rice dish featuring green beans and meat, perfect for a comforting family dinner with rich flavors and satisfying textures.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 c. milk
  • 2 c. cheese, cubed
  • 2 c. cooked, canned green beans, drained
  • 2 1/2 c. cooked meat or canned luncheon meat

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan; stir in flour.
  2. Add milk slowly, stirring until smooth.
  3. Cook and stir over medium heat until the mixture comes to a boil.
  4. Lower the heat, cook and stir the mixture longer.
  5. Add green beans, cheese, and meat.
  6. Cook over low heat for about 20 minutes, until the cheese melts, stirring to prevent sticking.
  7. Serve over hot cooked rice.
