  • 1 Tbsp. garlic
  • 1 1/2 c. warm water

  2. Add garlic and diced onion to the pot and sauté until transparent.
  3. Slice the Vienna sausages and add them to the pot, browning them slightly.
  4. Add tomato sauce and Sofinto, stirring to combine and season to taste.

Tips & Substitutions

For added flavor, consider using chicken broth instead of water. If you want to incorporate vegetables, diced bell peppers or peas can be excellent additions. Sofrito can be substituted with fresh herbs or your favorite seasoning blend. Make sure to rinse the rice beforehand to remove excess starch for fluffier grains.

Serving Suggestions

Serve the rice with Vienna sausages as a hearty main dish. It pairs well with a fresh side salad or steamed vegetables for a balanced meal. For an extra kick, a drizzle of hot sauce or a sprinkle of fresh herbs on top can enhance the flavors. This dish is perfect for a quick family dinner or as leftovers for lunch.

Storage & Reheating

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. To reheat, add a splash of water to the rice to prevent drying out and microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between until heated through. This dish can also be reheated on the stove over low heat.
