Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb. ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1/2 green pepper, diced
  • 1 1/3 c. Minute rice
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. ketchup
  • 1/4 c. sugar

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice until tender.
  2. Brown the ground beef lightly in butter in a large skillet.
  3. Add salt, pepper, diced onion, and diced green pepper to the beef.
  4. Drain the cooked rice and stir it into the meat mixture.
  5. Add sugar, ketchup, and tomato sauce to the skillet.
  6. Mix well and simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Serve hot.
