Instructions
- Sift the flour.
- Measure and sift with baking soda, then combine with brown sugar.
- Beat eggs well.
- Add chopped pecans or walnuts to the egg mixture.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the egg and nut mixture, mixing well.
- Add vanilla and melted margarine or butter, mixing until combined.
- Spread the batter in a well-greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
- Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
- Cut into 1 1/2 x 1-inch strips to serve.
