Ingredients

  • 3 lb. emu steaks
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon pepper
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Shake one tablespoon of flour in a turkey-sized roasting bag and pour off the excess flour.
  2. Place the emu steaks side by side inside the bag in a large roasting pan, ensuring they are not layered.
  3. Sprinkle lemon pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce onto the steaks.
  4. Add beef broth to the bottom of the bag, ensuring all meat is kept in the liquid.
  5. Sprinkle the chopped onion on top of the steaks.
  6. Close the bag with a tie and make six 1-inch slits in the top of the bag.
  7. Bake at 325°F (163°C) for 2 hours.
