Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups hot water
  • 1 (5.5 oz.) package hash brown potatoes with onion
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 (12 oz.) can corn with sweet peppers
  • 1 package dried beef, cut up
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon celery salt

Instructions

  1. Pour hot water over the hash brown potatoes; let stand for 10 minutes.
  2. Melt margarine in a large pan.
  3. Add flour to the melted margarine, then gradually stir in milk.
  4. Drain the soaked potatoes and rinse them.
  5. Stir the potatoes, corn with liquid, dried beef, salt, lemon pepper, and celery salt into the milk mixture.
  6. Heat the chowder until hot, then serve.
