  7. Pour any leftover sauce into a jar and refrigerate.

Tips & Substitutions

For a spicier kick, consider adding a few dashes of hot sauce or a sprinkle of cayenne pepper to the sauce. If you're out of canola oil, vegetable oil or olive oil can work as suitable substitutes. Always taste the sauce before using it to adjust seasoning levels according to your preference, especially if you're using a different brand of Worcestershire sauce.

Serving Suggestions

This baste and dab-on sauce is perfect for grilled meats like chicken, pork, or beef. Pair it with a fresh salad or grilled vegetables for a balanced meal. It also complements sides like corn on the cob or garlic bread. For dessert, consider serving with Gloria'S Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge for a sweet finish.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftover sauce in a clean jar with a tight-fitting lid in the refrigerator. It can last for up to two weeks. When ready to use, reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave, being careful not to boil it, which can alter the flavors.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make this sauce in advance?

Yes, you can prepare this sauce a day ahead of time. Just let it cool completely before storing it in the refrigerator. Allowing the flavors to meld overnight can enhance its taste, making it even more delicious when used for basting.

What types of meat work best with this sauce?

This sauce is versatile and works well with various meats, especially poultry and pork. Chicken breasts, thighs, and ribs tend to absorb the flavors beautifully. However, feel free to experiment with beef or even vegetables for a vegetarian option.

How often should I baste the meat while grilling?

Baste the meat every few minutes for the best flavor and moisture retention. This ensures that the sauce coats the meat evenly and enhances its taste as it cooks, resulting in a juicy and flavorful final dish.
