Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 3 c. potatoes, diced
  • 1 c. sliced celery
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. chili sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • generous dash of pepper

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown the ground beef in shortening along with diced potatoes and sliced celery, stirring to separate the meat.
  2. Pour off the excess fat.
  3. Add mushroom soup, water, chili sauce, salt, and pepper to the skillet.
  4. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring often.
