Tips & Substitutions

For a richer flavor, consider browning the lamb cubes before adding them to the pot. If you don't have saffron, turmeric can be a good substitute for color, though the flavor will differ. For a milder curry, reduce the cayenne pepper to your preference. You can also add vegetables like potatoes or carrots for added nutrition, similar to the Lamb And Potato Korma.

Serving Suggestions

Serve Rogan Gosht with steamed basmati rice or naan to soak up the delicious sauce. It pairs beautifully with Indian Corn Bread for a delightful meal. Garnish with fresh cilantro or a dollop of yogurt for added creaminess. This dish also goes well with a side of sautéed greens or a simple cucumber salad for freshness.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, gently warm on the stovetop over low heat, adding a splash of water or broth if it seems too thick. This dish can also be frozen for up to 2 months; thaw in the refrigerator before reheating.
