Ingredients

  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup dry cocoa
  • 1 cup nuts (if using)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

Instructions

  1. Melt oleo in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. In a bowl, beat eggs with a fork.
  3. Add sugar to the eggs and mix well.
  4. Pour the melted oleo into the egg and sugar mixture and stir.
  5. Add flour, dry cocoa, vanilla, and nuts (if using) to the mixture.
  6. Mix until well combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
