Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 lb. sausage
  • 1 lb. Velveeta
  • 2 loaves party rye bread

Instructions

  1. Combine ground beef, sausage, and chopped onion in a large skillet.
  2. Cook over medium heat until browned, then drain excess fat.
  3. Add Velveeta cheese and stir until melted and well combined.
  4. Spread about 1 tablespoon of the mixture on slices of party rye bread.
  5. Place the topped bread slices on a cookie sheet and freeze for about 10 minutes.
  6. Store the frozen toppings in baggies until needed.
  7. When ready to serve, bake the topped bread slices at 350°F until hot.
