Saucy Chops Cincinnati

Ingredients

  • 6 pork chops, 1/2-inch thick
  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 c. applesauce
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. minced onion
  • 1/8 tsp. cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Brown both
  2. sides
  3. of chops slowly in hot oil. Combine applesauce, soy
  4. sauce,
  5. onion and cinnamon.
  6. Arrange chops in single layer in shallow baking dish.
  7. Spoon applesauce mixture evenly over
  8. chops.
  9. Cover pan with foil.
  10. Bake for 45 minutes at 350°.
  11. Remove
  12. foil.
  13. Turn chops over and baste.
  14. Return to oven. Bake uncovered for 15 minutes longer or until chops are tender. Serves 4 to 6.
