Ingredients

  • 2 lb. sausage (canned)
  • 1 onion
  • 3 potatoes
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Brown the canned sausage in a skillet.
  2. Add 2 quarts of water to the broth that the sausage was canned in.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  4. Add sliced onion and potatoes to the boiling broth.
  5. Prepare the dough by mixing flour, baking powder, salt, and shortening to form a dough.
  6. Place the dough over the sausage and broth mixture.
  7. Bake or cook until the dough is cooked through and golden.
