Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 lb. pork sausage
  • 3 cans kidney beans (about 46 oz.)
  • 2 qt. tomatoes
  • 8 oz. tomato sauce
  • 2 or 3 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • onions, diced

Instructions

  1. Cook the hamburger and pork sausage in a large pot until browned and cooked through.
  2. Add diced onions and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in chili powder, salt (if needed), and sugar.
  4. Pour in tomatoes, tomato sauce, and kidney beans.
  5. Simmer the mixture to develop flavors and heat through.
  6. Adjust seasoning if necessary and serve hot.
