Ingredients

  • 20 medium mushrooms
  • 3 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1/2 cup dry seasoned bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Remove stems from mushrooms.
  2. Finely chop 1/4 cup of mushroom stems.
  3. Cook and stir chopped stems, onion, and pepper in margarine in a skillet over medium heat until tender.
  4. Remove from heat; stir in bread crumbs and basil.
  5. Spoon crumb mixture loosely into mushroom caps; place on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes or until hot.
